AFAS Art Wall – Charles Maher

An independent artist and resident of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Charles Maher began his automotive journey at the wheel of a 1955 Chevy Bel Air and a Chrysler 300, the family cars. Early in his career, Maher was a designer at Ford Motor Company then worked 14 years with a graphics firm in Detroit designing production car graphics for General Motors, Honda, Ford, and Toyota. His work has been displayed at Concours d’Elegance events at Amelia Island, Meadow Brook, and Pebble Beach and has also appeared in publications such as AutoWeek, Automobile, Road & Track, and Automobile Quarterly. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, he has also enjoyed two separate one-man shows at the Automotive Hall of Fame Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. Maher is a past president of the National Automotive Artists Association and is a current member of the Automotive Fine Art Society.
