Discovery Days and LA BookPALS the First Saturday of Every Month
Meet us at the Third Floor May Family Discovery Center between 1 and 4 p.m. for our monthly arts & crafts activities.
At 2:30 p.m., actors from LABookPALS will come and read stories. The Discovery Day program is free for Museum members and included in general museum admission for non-members. For more information please call 323-964-6308 or email lamend@petersen.org.
BookPALS (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools), is a unique literacy program through the Screen Actors Guild Foundation. BookPALS are professional actor volunteers, who read in classrooms and special events. This program exposes children to the magic of books and helps them develop a love of reading.
What Happens on a Discovery Day?
Drop-in Arts & Crafts: 1 pm – 4 pm
Make a souvenir to take home! Every month we are making a special arts & crafts project. Clay hood ornaments, Land Speed key chains, automobile mugs, popup CARds, and many more!
