For the second year in a row the Petersen Automotive Museum and the Craft and Folk Art Museum joined forces to create the most unique summer camp on the Miracle Mile, Culture, Craft and Cars Camp. Children had extraordinary adventures with the Miracle Mile as their playground. They sketched, drew with tape and modeled their own cars in an auto design workshop. Campers learned about Fiberglass, textiles, weaving and even got to create their own costumes and star in their own fashion show. Other projects included figure sketching, paper dolls, advertisements, collages, architectural sketches and a large-scale collaborative mural.
“The best part of the program is the variety of activities the kids are exposed to.”
“My child has been in a variety of camps this summer, and she had the greatest time at yours with the eclectic, fun activities you provided.”
“Thank you for another wonderful year of fantastic learning and fun.”
“My child is looking forward to attending camp next year.”
