Automotive Awareness 101
In March 2010 the Petersen introduced a brand new class for teenagers and their parents. The class was focused on the basics of what’s under the hood and how a car runs. Topics about car maintenance and caring for the automobile were covered. Automotive Awareness 101 was taught by Phil Jelinek, one of the Petersen’s Pit Crew volunteers. Jelinek, the Auto Shop instructor of the award-winning shop program at Monrovia High School, has an engaging and exciting approach to learning about the car. For more information about upcoming Automotive Awareness workshops or to add your name to the interest list please call 323-964-6308 or email lamend@petersen.org.
