Cars & Guitars of Rock & Roll II
Life can be said to imitate art in Huggy Bear, a car built for the “Doggfather’s” role as Huggy Bear in the 2004 film Starsky and Hutch. The custom diamond shaped rear window embodies the line from William Devaughn’s 1974 rhythm and blues song “Be Thankful for what You’ve Got” where he describes the quintessential “gangsta” rides of the 1970s as having “a diamond in the back and the sunroof top.” Snoop pilots his special Lincoln with one hand on the wheel, “diggin’ the scene with a gangsta lean.”
