1911 babcock model h

The Vault presented by Hagerty®

Babcock of Watertown, NY was a manufacturer of carriages for about 60 years before they opened an automotive division in 1908. The model A was tested for a year in the inclement weather of upstate New York, and manufacture began after it survived! Babcock ceased production of automobiles in 1915 and switched to auto bodies, remaining in business to become a major manufacturer of ambulance bodies during World War I. This 4 cylinder, 32 hp 7-seater may be among the first four door models Babcock produced.
