1914 Baby Vanderbilt Cup Racer

Second Floor - Industry

During the mid-teens, an organization called the Junior Racing Series of America sanctioned a series of races for “baby cars” at various board tracks up and down the Pacific Coast. Many raced in the Vanderbilt Cup Races held in California in 1914 and 1916 at Santa Monica, and 1915 at the San Francisco PanamaPacific International Exhibition. Discovered in Livermore, California rusty and partially disassembled, this historic racer was restored over a period of six years to its current concours standard.
