In 2012, Bruce Meyer set out to fulfill a long-held dream on the historic Bonneville Salt Flats: to drive over 200 miles per hour in an open roadster. To reach such a high speed, Bonneville legend Mike Cook completely rebuilt the racer and tuned the engine to produce a monstrous 1,000 horsepower. As Meyer streaked down the salt flats during his final opportunity to reach his goal, he followed his “never lift” motto and ended up clocking a blistering 204 miles per hour in this custom-built, open roadster.
