Tony Nancy first partnered with well-known builder Tommy Sparks in 1957 to construct a roadster to promote his growing upholstery business. Later cars included his renowned 22 Jr. hot rods, so named to proclaim his success in creating the 22 other street and dry-lakes vehicles he had built up to that time. His first 22 Jr., this 1929 Ford, sported a lightened frame, a flathead engine with an Italmeccanica supercharger with three Stromberg carburetors, and an innovative center steering system that ensured even distribution of the driver’s weight,
