1935 Buttress and McClellan Special

Second Floor - Industry

Prior to World War II, many companies capitalized on the growing popularity of “midget midget” (later “junior midget”) racing including Buttress & McClellan of Los Angeles, which manufactured this racer. Like other local manufacturers such as Culver and Lucas, Buttress & McClellan seized upon the opportunity to test the demand for powered children’s racers by building a line of their own.
