1935 Mercedes Benz T290 SWB Cabriolet A

The Vault presented by Hagerty®

The Type 290 was advanced for its time, featuring hydraulic brakes, coil-sprung suspension, and a 60-horsepower 6-cylinder engine. Of the already limited production (8,214) Typ 290s, this car is the only SWB Cabriolet A version to be custom-bodied by Singelfingen, a Mercedes-Benz-owned coachbuilder. Its deep front fenders are unique to this vehicle and give it a dramatic look. This T290 has been preserved in its original condition, including an all-original nterior, engine, and convertible top, and is an impressive example of prewar Mercedes-Benz luxury.
