1961 Honda 50

Third Floor - History

The Honda 50 is probably one of the most important motorcycles ever. It was a very approachable bike in a day when motorcycles were large like Harleys and Indians and not the kind of thing that people wanted to ride. Honda’s advertising campaign, that you meet the nicest people on a Honda, really, really helped. The Honda 50 was smaller. It was more controllable. It was affordable. It was a friendly bike that helped transform the motorcycle from something menacing to something approachable.
