1967 Toyota 2000GT MF10

Second Floor - Industry

When Nissan abandoned its program to build a supercar engineered by Yamaha, the latter firm offered it to Toyota, which eagerly took advantage of the opportunity to build a sports car that could rival European products. Utilizing a revised design by Satoru Nozaki, the production 2000GT was fabricated entirely by hand, and the luxurious interior included a rosewood dash and signal-seeking radio. Toyota demonstrated that it could not only build a stylish car, but a performance-oriented one.
