c. 1970 "Kenford Truck" by Von Dutch
First Floor - Artistry
Kustom Kulture icon Von Dutch (born Kenny Howard) is well-known for his creative and abstract pinstriping designs, but he was also a talented mechanic and machinist. In a rare example of Von Dutch’s personal vehicles, the Kenford Truck was created by grafting a 1947 Kenworth car to a 1956 Ford chassis. Built in the early 1970s, this truck served as Von Dutch’s daily driver for a number of years. The truck features extensive engine-turned metal adornment, Von Dutch’s trademark “flying eyeball,” and numerous mechanical modifications, including a chute for jettisoning beer cans. The Kenford Truck appeared in the first issue of Juxtapoz magazine as part of a feature article on Von Dutch.
