1970 Suzuki L120 Jimmy
Third Floor - History
Built to capture a portion of the growing Japanese off-road market, the Suzuki LJ20 Jimny is equipped with a water-cooled 360cc two-stroke twin, four-speed manual transmission and two-speed transfer case. Jimnys were not officially sold in the US by Suzuki, although approximately 800 were imported by IEC (International Equipment Co.). In accordance with Japanese government restrictions on the size of kei cars, overall length is a mere nine feet. The name meaning “small” in Japanese, kei cars were ultra-small vehicles marketed to buyers of modest means who would otherwise have had to settle for a scooter or motorcycle.
