ong time fixture at Southern California race tracks, the Tamale Wagons were a series of sprint cars built for race car owner Alx Morales and named after the specialty of the family's Anaheim-based food business. This fourth creation, built by Don Edmunds, successfully raced in the California Racing Association (CRA) from 1975-1980 and earned a championship for Morales in 1978 when piloted by Rick Goudy. In all, the Tamale Wagons won six CRA championships and 129 races.
