1979 Porsche Alternative Motorcycle Concept

First Floor - Artistry

As an internal exercise in 1979, Porsche Design sought to propose a vehicle for the motorist that enjoyed the comforts of an automobile but recognized the advantages of a motorcycle in an increasingly congested, polluted and resource-limited world. The resulting Yamaha SR500-based Alternative Motorcycle Concept featured fairings to keep the rider clean, an adjustable seat for comfort, and integrated kneepads for safety during a collision.
