1988 Oldsmobile Aerotech Go-Kart
Second Floor - Industry
The Oldsmobile Aerotech was an ultramodern, high-speed vehicle designed to achieve racing wins for Oldsmobile, whose sales began to lag during the late 1980s. In 1987, Indy champion A.J. Foyt set the closed-course speed record of 257.123 mph in an Aerotech, an event Oldsmobile commemorated at their dealerships with the Oldsmobile Aerotech Go-Kart. Produced by the Bird Corporation in limited numbers, the Aerotech remains a popular collector’s item for Oldsmobile enthusiasts despite the fact that most adults cannot fit in the cockpit.
