1995 chrysler lugano clay styling mock-up
Second Floor - Industry
Built at Chrysler's Pacifica Advanced Design Studio in Irvine, California, this model suggested how the Plymouth Prowler chassis might be used as the basis for a civilized coupe. Seeking to convey an "elegant sportiness," designer Kevin Verduyn drew inspiration for the design from the well remembered 1955 Mercedes-Benz SLR coupe. Never publicly shown, the Lugano was part of an internal DaimlerChrysler styling study that was not developed into an operational concept car.
