2014 Scion tC by Papadakis Racing
Second Floor - Industry
Drifting, a sport originating in Japan, solidified itself in American racing with the introduction of the professional series Formula DRIFT in 2003. Competing against American V-8s, Papadakis Racing changed the Scion’s front-wheel drive layout to rear-wheel and converted its stock four-cylinder to a nitrous-boosted, turbocharged engine producing over 800 horsepower. Driver Fredric Aasbo won the 2015 Formula DRIFT championship piloting this Scion tC, the first four-cylinder to earn a victory in the history
of the series.
