How long have you owned your 964?

“I have owned my 964 for 4 years. I found the car searching forums, eBay and Craigslist.  I checked out about four other 964s before I found this one.”

What got you interested in the 964 over other models?

“I chose this car because it is the last air-cooled Porsche with the classic 911 silhouette.  This car, in particular, didn’t take much for me to make it my own.  It’s simple. It’s clean.”

What is your favorite thing about the 964?

“My favorite thing about the 964 is how it blends a bit of modern technology with the classic Porsche look and feel that everyone has come to recognize and adore. The 964 has rewarded me with experiences far different than any other car I’ve had the pleasure of owning. From the smell of the old interior, the exhaust note of the flat 6, the ignition on the lefthand side, and even the simple opening and closing click of the door that cannot be replicated by any other car, once you get behind the wheel of a 964, you realize you are in control of something special. As much as I enjoy the 964, I also enjoy the community surrounding the car. Owning this car has connected me with so many likeminded enthusiasts who all share the same passion and love for the aircooled icon. One group in particular that I am especially thankful to be part of is a small group of 964/993 owners called the COOLfuchs. We all found each other by chance but our shared interest in these cars, passion for modifications, and sometimes crazy impulse purchases has allowed our friendship to grow and crew to be at the forefront of 964 ownership. After all these years, I can say that the community and camaraderie is what really makes 964 ownership special. That is what I love about the 964.”
