Vehicle: 1993 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo Euro spec
I own a 1993 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo Euro spec. Yes, you read that right, a Euro spec Toyota Supra. You can say it is a top-specification version of the Supra, as it comes standard with heated electric leather seats in ivory, ABS, traction control, limited slip differential, 4-pot front and 2-pot rear brakes, active front spoiler, glass headlights, hood scoop, 550cc injectors, higher flowing steel turbos and so on.
Unlike most Supra owners, the Toyota Supra MKIV was not my dream car when I was a child. To be honest, I was not interested in it until a year before I got my Supra. My best friend was telling me about how good the Toyota Supra MKIV is, especially the 2JZ-GTE engine. From then on, I read articles and watched plenty of videos about the Toyota Supra and its remarkable engine and needless to say, I fell in love with it. There are only a handful of Supra from where I live, and I thought that it was impossible to buy one. We are also not allowed to import cars that are older than 7 years from overseas so the option to import is non-existent.
Fast forward to almost a year later, with the power of making friends in the car community, I was told that a Toyota Supra MKIV was for sale. A few days later, that Supra is mine, sitting in my garage. My Toyota Supra originally was an automatic 4 speed twin turbo. The previous owner converted to the V160 6-speed manual transmission and swapped the twin turbos to the Greddy T-78 single turbo kit. Within a few months of ownership, I have added the ETS 4” Intercooler kit, ECU Master Black Standalone ECU, Injector Dynamix 1050x, Walbro fuel pump, Greddy Profec boost controller, aero parts (front lip, side skirt extension and rear diffuser) and some interior changes. There are a lot more still to be done to my Supra, slowly but surely it will be done!
