About the Event
Gather your friends for an exciting adventure after hours at the Petersen Automotive Museum! You'll discover yourselves mysteriously locked in. Collaborate as a team, utilizing your detective skills to break free before time runs out! You’ll have a limit of 45 minutes to finish your mission. Enjoy light refreshments to energize your quest. Whether you experienced the challenge last year or are a newcomer, join us this year and explore a new room to test your sleuthing skills.
Here’s a Teaser about the types of Rooms you may encounter!
“Mechanical Mayhem”
The famous elephant hood ornament has been stolen. The thieves hid their loot inside the mechanic shop of the museum. Find the hood ornament in 45 minutes before the thieves come back to collect it. You and your team must use your problem-solving skills to tackle puzzles before it's too late!
“Fixing to Race”
PRNDL has reason to believe someone has tampered with the next Formula One race. It’s your job to find the impostor (or impostors!) before the race begins in 45 minutes. Use your sleuthing skills in the pit garage to identify the team and drivers by solving riddles and finding clues.
“Shiny Cars, Dirty Money”
Hollywood has always been known for its glitz and glam, but this all has a dirty underbelly. There have been rumors that at the height of the Golden Age of Hollywood, Fred Astaire’s driver stole money and hid it in one of his cars. A letter was found recently hinting at the last hiding spot of the money and has been released to all the local news stations. Work as a team and find the money before the other teams do! Use your skills to explore the clues left behind and find what’s hidden in Fred Astaire’s collection.
“Lady in Red”
Your mission is to investigate and debunk the alleged haunting of the "Lady in Red" at the Petersen Automotive Museum. You and your team will have access to the exhibit for 45 minutes to uncover the truth behind these claims. PRNDL’s intel has led us to believe evidence debunking the phenomenon is caught on CCTV footage in the Security hard drive. Use your skills to find the footage and solve the puzzles to debunk the mystery.
“House of Cars”
The secret society PRNDL is having a meeting tonight at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Explore the garage to find the rendezvous location and secret code to get into the meeting. You have 45 minutes before the members get together. Use your skills to solve puzzles in the space and discover the hidden messages.

F.A.T. Karting League | Weekend 1 Assessment & Practice | Partner Event
About the Event
Youth karting just hit the fast lane on the West Coast. FAT Karting League (FKL), an international youth karting series redefining motorsport, has already turned heads in the UK and Midwest U.S. This summer, it’s bringing its high-performance, pro-engineered electric karting model to California. Aimed at 5- to 17-year-olds, it’s a complete overhaul of grassroots motorsport — no kart ownership, no hidden costs, just transparent “arrive-and-drive” racing with full coaching baked in.
FKL is an international youth karting series redefining how young drivers enter motorsport.
“It’s time to put drivers first,” says FKL co-founder Rob Smedley, an ex-Ferrari engineer. His excitement is echoed by Ferdi Porsche, co-founder and racing innovator: “California’s about to see what happens when you level the playing field. We’re here to find future champions.”
An all-new path, from assessment to F4
It all begins with a Practice & Assessment day: four or eight track sessions over a day, complete with off-track coaching. Beginner racers step into the three-tier Driver Training program. Those with experience zip straight to Practice and Racing. Come November, participants will battle it out across four Pro and Regional Championships at world-class tracks like Adams Motorsport Park and Willow Springs — venues that bring real-world gravity to youth racing.
What’s at stake?
Championship contenders will earn a coveted spot in the December World Final in California. But the real prize comes for Juniors: the top drivers qualify for an assessment day to be in with a shot of winning a fully funded Formula 4 seat for 2026 — a breakthrough opportunity nearly unheard of in youth motorsport. Meanwhile, younger racers aren’t left behind: top Bambinos and Cadets win a full FKL season.

L.A.’s ultimate celebration of Italian automotive passion is back! This year, our all-Italian cruise-in honors Festa della Repubblica and unites a vibrant community of enthusiasts, industry insiders, and collectors for a day infused with the unmistakable spirit of Italy – right here in Los Angeles. This event is set to be our largest Italian car gathering of the year!
This year, we’re thrilled to partner with Macchinissima, the team behind what Sports Car Digest hailed as “The Best Car Show of 2024.” Expect a bold fusion of L.A. car culture, Punk Rock attitude, and Villa d’Este elegance, all set in a pop-up piazza featuring mouth watering Italian food, Italo-disco DJ sets, rare and exciting vehicle curations, and exclusive must-have merchandise.
After the cruise-in, the experience shifts into high gear with a spirited 50-car rally through scenic, winding roads to Santa Paula. There, an intimate private collection tour, a beautifully catered lunch among fellow tifosi, and a fireside chat will cap off a day where automotive artistry, rich culture, and la dolce vita come together in spectacular fashion. Road Racing Drivers Club President Bobby Rahal and Grand Prix Association of Long Beach President Jim Michaelian, cordially invite you to the RRDC Celebration of 50 Years of the Grand Prix of Long Beach Presented by Firestone
Firestone returns as presenting sponsor of the expanded Road Racing Drivers Club annual legends dinner in Long Beach, California, on Thursday, April 10. The 2025 gala will celebrate the 50 years of racing on the streets of Long Beach, California, and will honor Mario Andretti, Al Unser Jr. and Brian Redman – legendary drivers from the Grand Prix's rich history.
The "RRDC Celebration of 50 Years of the Grand Prix of Long Beach Presented by Firestone" is the RRDC's 15th banquet honoring auto racing's most influential leaders and iconic events. This is Firestone's 14th year as presenting sponsor of the RRDC gala, and the brand has been affiliated with the Grand Prix of Long Beach for almost three decades. The dinner and gala will be held at a new venue – the Westin Long Beach Hotel at 333 E. Ocean Blvd. – one day before the start of the 50th Anniversary Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, the third race of the 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES. All proceeds of the dinner will benefit The Mark Donohue Foundation, which supports the RRDC’s SAFEisFAST initiative, and the Grand Prix Foundation of Long Beach, which supports charities in the Long Beach area. The Foundation’s proceeds from the gala will go to Long Beach City College’s Automotive Technology Program.
“Each year, the Road Racing Drivers Club event is a highlight of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach weekend,” said Grand Prix Association of Long Beach President & CEO Jim Michaelian. “And this year is especially meaningful as we join with the RRDC in honoring three true legends of the sport—Mario Andretti, Al Unser Jr., and Brian Redman. Their contributions to Long Beach motorsports history have inspired generations of drivers and fans alike, and we are thrilled to celebrate their incredible legacies during this special evening."
Tickets may be purchased on the RRDC web site rrdc.org. All are welcome. This event is expected to sell out, so early reservations are recommended.
About the Road Racing Drivers Club
The Road Racing Drivers Club was formed in 1952 as a way to give champion drivers a say in their sport, particularly in the areas of safety, and has evolved to serve the future of road racing by mentoring new drivers on both amateur and professional levels. The Club's membership includes leading industry professionals, race officials and motorsports journalists, in addition to prominent racing names. In 2011, the RRDC launched a free on-line training seminar- www.SAFEisFAST.com - featuring RRDC members and other industry experts in high-quality videos covering subjects from physical and mental preparation to driving techniques, driver safety to car setup and sponsorship. The videos are updated regularly. Each week, a professional from the world of motor racing answers readers' questions on the site in a feature called 'Ask a Pro.' Bobby Rahal is President, John Fergus is Vice President and Treasurer and John Clagett is Secretary. The RRDC presents three annual awards: The Phil Hill Award, the Mark Donohue Award, and the Bob Akin Award.
