1955 Kurtis "500" Jr. Quarter Midget
Designed by legendary race car builder Frank Kurtis and his son Arlen, the “500” Jr.
Quarter Midget was intended to resemble a full-sized Kurtis race car. The racer employs
a steel frame upon which the body is mounted. In addition to quarter midgets, Kurtis
also produced a slightly larger half midget and later the Kurtis Kart, which was
unibodied. Kurtis manufactured vehicles locally in Glendale, California.
