Celebrating 100 Years of Mercedes-Benz
Mercedes-Benz holds a unique position in the automotive landscape. No other carmaker has been responsible for such a vast range of vehicles across so many categories while maintaining an enduring and singular association with luxury, prestige, and class. Mercedes-Benz has earned this reputation not only by crafting timeless, elegant models that have been designed, engineered, and built to last for generations but also by being a marque of choice for heads of state, celebrities, and dignitaries. Its slogan, Das Beste oder nichts (German for “the best or nothing”), speaks to this achievement.
World-Class commemorates the 100th anniversary of the merger of Daimler (manufacturer of Mercedes-branded vehicles) and Benz, which gave rise to the Mercedes-Benz name. The exhibition brings together a broad range of models that have shaped and cemented the company’s legacy over the past century, exploring how two pioneering automakers evolved into a single global symbol of engineering excellence, innovation, and renown.
