1968 S.C.A.F./Mortarini Junior Ford GT40

French enthusiast Francis Mortarini was a collector and restorer of children’s cars whose
main business (the S.C.A.F. company) evolved into producing detailed replicas of
famous racing vehicles. A large number of his cars were campaigned in the “24 Minutes
du Mans,” a race for children on a miniature course in the Sarthe circuit preceding the
main event. This half-scale, Ford-licensed GT40 is liveried to resemble the Ken
Miles/Denis Hulme 1966 Le Mans Gulf Racing Team car.

Collection of Bill and Bud Jones, Roanoke, VA
