Tuesday, October 7th we’ll meet in the evening for a memorable welcome reception…we’ll spend time getting to know each other’s stories and kick the trip off with some great food and drink.
Wednesday, October 8th we’ll take luxury transportation to David MacNeil’s amazing collection in Bolingbrook, IL. We’ll enjoy a fabulous catered lunch there before we head to John Stafford’s unforgettable collection in Chicago, and you’ll be back at the hotel in time for a free evening to explore all that Chicago has to offer.
Thursday, October 9th we are in for a rare tour of Dana Mecum’s office, home, private collection, and infamous “boat bar” in Lake Geneva. From there we will board the Grand Belle for a luxury cruise and catered lunch on the lake…doesn’t get better than this!!!
Finally, we’ll arrive at Ferrari Lake Forest in Lake Bluff for an incredible closing tour and dinner with hosts Rick Mancuso and Chuck Wegner. This trip is not to be missed…join me and your fellow CF200 Members there!!!!

Your Chicago Itinerary
Oct. 7th - Arrivals & Welcome Dinner
Your experience begins with arrival in the vibrant and sophisticated city of Chicago. That evening, members are invited to an elegant welcome reception. This is your chance to unwind, connect with your fellow members, and set the tone for an extraordinary journey ahead.
Oct. 8th - Tour Day
Begin the day in comfort as private transportation takes you to the esteemed collection of David MacNeil, featuring an astonishing array of historic racing automobiles. Following an exclusive guided tour, enjoy a refined luncheon on site. In the afternoon, gain rare access to John Stafford’s expansive private collection—one of the most comprehensive and awe-inspiring in the region.
Oct. 9th - Tour Day and Boat Experience
Your final day begins with a private morning visit to the celebrated collection of Dana Mecum, where automotive history and modern design blend seamlessly. Midday, you’ll step aboard a classic Golden Era cruise vessel for a scenic voyage along Lake Geneva. Enjoy a leisurely cruise paired with a gourmet lunch and panoramic views of historic Gilded Age Mansions. The journey culminates with an exclusive visit to the iconic Ferrari Lake Forest dealership. Explore a breathtaking array of Italian automotive excellence before closing the day—and the trip—with a private farewell dinner among these modern works of art.
Friday, October 10th will be our departure day. We’ll be happy to provide recommendations for those extending their trip through the weekend!

Away Trip FAQs.

Guests will be responsible for their travel and hotel. Courtesy room blocks will be provided at our recommended hotel, likely in the O’Hare area, for the nights of 10/7, 10/8, and 10/9. The link to reserve will be shared with ticket holders once our base hotel is confirmed.
If you are local or lodging elsewhere, please connect with us regarding transportation.

As travel and accommodations are not included, there is no discount available for locals. Transportation, hospitality, staffing, and experience costs inform the price.

The full itinerary will be shared with ticket holders closer to the event. As these are private homes and collections, we will not be sharing addresses.

Petersen events and experience tickets are non-refundable. Tickets purchased for this event may be transferred to another Guest, or converted into a fully tax-deductible Donation.

Luxury transportation to all locations is included in the ticket price. However, you are welcome to drive yourself if you prefer to! Please connect with us regarding your transportation needs. Some locations we visit may have limited parking and addresses will only be shared as needed.
