The Petersen Automotive Museum is excited to invite you to apply to our internship program. This is your opportunity to join us and learn the ins and outs of how our museum operates. The program runs from June 16th to August 21st.

Explore Departments

Help preserve historical texts, photos, artwork, and rare items to keep the story of automobiles alive for future generations.

Learn from our team of expert technicians, detailers, and porters about how to maintain and restore cars to their original glory. (ages 18+)

Shadow an associate curator and learn how we plan, build, and display world-class exhibits.

Gain experience in assisting the Design team with exhibit graphics, signage, advertising, and more.

Engage with our community of automobile enthusiasts, learn how we secure funds, and see how we build relationships.

See how our education team designs community programs, creates hands-on experiences for schools, and educates the public about the rich history of automobiles.

Apprentice our events assistants as they execute museum programs like panels, exhibit openings, and cruise-ins.

Learn about the museum's financial close process, including collecting and analyzing financial data, and preparing schedules to facilitate the close. This is a great role for accounting majors.

Assist with managing personnel, organizing employee appreciation events, and helping create a supportive and positive work culture.

Aid content creation, become versed in web management, and support key events.

Through its support, the scholarship empowers emerging talent to gain hands-on experience, develop professional skills, and carry forward the passion for cars and car culture that Bruce Meyer has championed throughout his life.
