Cruising Down Penny Lane

Before he became a legendary tattoo artist inking celebrities like Lewis Hamilton, Kobe Bryant, and Dr. Dre, Mister Cartoon was doing custom airbrushing on lowriders in Los Angeles. In 2010 he purchased this 1959 Chevrolet Impala and started working on creating a lowrider of his own. He spent a decade transforming the car into "Penny Lane," a traditional lowrider inspired by the fresh copper of a new penny. Today, Mister Cartoon's automotive mural works are showcased in galleries worldwide, and his unique artistry has led to collaborations with global brands, including Apple, Nike, and Disney.
