Quick Specs

  • ELITE

The Japanese “Euro of the Year”

At age 17, Albert De Alba Sr. bought this Toyota Corolla and, using skills he acquired working for his father, Mario Sr., transformed the Japanese economy car into “Touch of Wine.” The car was featured in Lowrider magazine in 1992. De Alba then spent 18 months revamping the vehicle. His vision included cutting off the roof and adding suicide doors, a reverse-tilt hood, molded-in BMW bumpers, and custom ground effects. Renamed "Touch of Wine II," it appeared on the December 1994 cover of Lowrider and won "Euro Lowrider of the Year" in 1995 and 1996.
