The Ferrari F1-Derived Holy Grail

The Ferrari Enzo was designed as a successor to the company’s ultra-high-performance GTO, F40, and F50 models. The Enzo’s design was directly inspired by Formula 1 and incorporated an engine derived from the one used in Ferrari’s 1990 Formula 1 cars. Its interior combined racing-inspired accents like a paddle-shift transmission with amenities like air conditioning and an LED RPM indicator on the steering wheel. Ken Okuyama, a graduate of the ArtCenter College of Design, created its dramatic exterior based on the latest aerodynamics in competition.
