Inspired by Competition.

This highly customized 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa was built by Los Angeles dealer Galpin Motors for the 2022 Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge, during which dealers from around the United States restored cars from Porsche's history. This car won the coveted People's Choice Award. Inspired by “Safari” Porsches that raced in East Africa in 1973, Galpin's goal was to create something that looked like it was modified in the 1970s. The Targa's distinctive appearance was supplemented with a lifted suspension package with more ground clearance and additional travel for genuine off-road capability.
