About the Event
Get ready to go off-road at the Petersen! Join us Sunday, December 7 at 10 AM for the highly anticipated opening of our brand-new exhibition, Legends of the Dirt — a celebration of off-road legends across multiple disciplines. From crawling to racing and rally, this exhibit highlights the vehicles, pioneers, and milestones that have shaped the off-road motorsport world.
To kick things off, we’re hosting an off-road–inspired Cruise-In, where adventure enthusiasts of all kinds can bring their rigs to show off, compete for trophies, and connect with like-minded off-road fans. Whether you’re passionate about motorsports, trail exploration, or rally racing, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Enjoy a fireside chat with special guests, check out some incredible activations with Optima Batteries, and when it’s time to refuel, savor a classic lunch of hot dogs, chips, and a drink from Pink’s Hot Dogs. Inside the museum, explore the exhibition, learn about the history, technology, and artistry behind off-road vehicles, and discover the stories of the legends who made it all possible. With horsepower, dirt, and discovery around every corner, this is an event designed for enthusiasts, families, and anyone who loves adventure.
