About the Event

The Petersen Labs Geometric Car Portraits invites students to experience geometry unexpectedly and creatively—through the design of cars inspired by everyday life. Students explore geometry in a fun, creative way by designing their own cars using just one shape—turning simple forms into bold, imaginative creations inspired by the world around them.

This month’s theme is History!
Unlock your creativity with The Petersen Labs! Designed for curious minds in 6th grade and up, this hands-on experience invites you to transform everyday reusable objects into imaginative works of art. Discover the power of repurposing as you tinker, design, and build something uniquely your own. In this session, you’ll craft a personalized driver’s license holder using paper art—cut, assemble, and decorate it to match your style. It’s the perfect blend of creativity and practicality, where art meets everyday life. Come make something meaningful—and take it with you!
